The NRMA is bringing a variety of Electric Vehicles (EVs) makes and models to EVE in Cudal to give you an opportunity to experience what it is like to drive an EV.
An accredited driving expert will walk you through the vehicle features and drive modes and accompany you on your drive.
Please select your time slots below - you are welcome to select more than one time if you'd like to ride in more than one EV.

We will be providing a shuttle from Orange to the venue and back each day.
Please indicate below if you would like to take advantage of this service.

EVs DRIVE EXPERIENCE: WAIVER

To participate in the NRMA Electric Vehicles (EVs) drive during the EVE event in you must read and complete the below waivers.

VEHICLE DRIVE FORM

Vehicle loaned by Volvo Car Australia (VCA), 65 Epping Road Macquarie Park NSW 2113.

LOAN VEHICLE DETAILS:

Make & Model: Volvo XC40 Recharge Pure Electric

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

Upon signing this agreement the above named driver takes responsibility for the following;

  • The above driver is the only authorised persons to drive the vehicle.
  • The driver must operate the vehicle within Australian road regulations and will be responsible for any traffic infringements incurred during the period of loan.
  • The driver must not operate the vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • The vehicle must not to be used for racing or pace making without prior authority.
  • Smoking is not permitted within the vehicle.
  • The driver must hold a valid drivers licence.
  • If damage is sustained to the vehicle a VCA0001d Fleet Vehicle Damage Report form must be completed. If in the event the driver is at fault, (at the discretion of VCA management after review of Fleet Vehicle Damage, Police and Insurance reports), vehicle excess of $500.00 will be payable.
  • VCA accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to the driver’s or any third party's property in the vehicle howsoever caused.

The vehicle must at all times be driven carefully and responsibly.

RELEASE & INDEMNITY FOR DRIVER ACTIVITIES (RELEASE)

THIS IS A LEGAL DOCUMENT THAT AFFECTS YOUR RIGHTS.
YOU MUST READ AND UNDERSTAND IT BEFORE YOU AGREE – BY AGREEING TO THIS RELEASE, YOU WILL BE BOUND BY THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CONTAINED IN IT.


I have been offered an opportunity to participate as a driver and/or passenger of vehicles supplied by The National Roads and Motoring Association Limited and supervised by Driver Safety in Motion Pty Ltd trading as Driver Safety Australia, ABN 83 794 731 790 of Unit 10, 65 Business Street, Yatala, Queensland.

I understand, acknowledge and agree that:

  1. As at the date of agreeing to this Release, I am:

        (a) physically fit and I am not aware of any existing condition or conditions (including without limitation any physical injury, mental or physical illness or disease) that may be affected by my preparation for and participation in the Event or make my participation in the Event unsafe for myself or others; and

        (b) not under the influence of any illicit substance/s.

  1. I am the holder of a current and valid Driver’s License or Learner’s Permit from a State or Territory of Australia, New Zealand or approved country.
  2. This event includes driving activities and although all precautions will be taken to protect my safety, no such precautions can completely eliminate the risks associated with my participation in the Event;
  3. There are inherent risks associated with my participation in the in-car training session (the event) that may cause me to be exposed to extreme, hazardous and unnatural circumstances;
  4. Should a component of this training and/or activity include on-road activities, as the operator of the vehicle, I must conform to all road rules and accept full responsibility for all infringements or penalties which may be incurred.
  5. I acknowledge that prior to operating a motor vehicle, I will be required to undertake alcohol breath testing.
  6. I acknowledge that prior to operating a motor vehicle, I will be required to present my current drivers licence for verification.
  7. This Release will operate both jointly and severally in favour of all persons, corporations and any other entities and their representatives, employees, contractors and agents involved or otherwise in promoting, conducting or participating in the Event including without limitation Driver Safety Australia and its subsidiaries;
  8. This Release covers all claims that I am able to exclude, or release liability in, and if anything in this Release is unenforceable, illegal or void then it is severed, and the rest of this Release remains in force;
  9. At all times whilst attending the Event I will be subject to the direction of Driver Safety Australia, its employees and agents. In consideration for the opportunity to participate in the Event, I unconditionally and irrevocably agree that I:

       (a) will not sue or claim against Driver Safety Australia, its directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors, partners, venue providers, shareholders, representatives and members; and

       (b) release and forever discharge Driver Safety Australia from and against all and any claims, actions, suits, costs, legal fees, damages, judgments, orders and liabilities of whatever kind or nature, arising out of or in connection with my preparation for and participation in the Event, whether occurring before, during or after my actual participation in the Event, including, without limitation, any claims for any injury, illness, damage, loss or harm to me or my property, or my death, and any claims arising from the negligence of Driver Safety Australia or its subsidiaries;

       (c) acknowledge that any vehicle supplied by me for the event is at my own risk and I therefore release and forever discharge Driver Safety Australia from and against all and any claims for any damage or loss to my property.

  1. This Release is effective and binding upon my next of kin, heirs, executors, administrators, personal representatives and dependents (if any).
  2. I acknowledge that I may be included in photographic or video footage to be utilized by Driver Safety Australia and/or the Australian Road Safety Foundation website, social media pages, training content and/or printed publications.
  3. If anything in this document is or is determined to be unenforceable, illegal, voidable or void then it is severed and the rest of this document remains in full force and effect.

NRMA

By proceeding with this registration, I confirm:

  • I am over 21 and hold a full license (not provisional or learners).
  • I will be responsible for any traffic infringement penalties resulting from any traffic infringements I commit in the course of the drive
  • The vehicle shall be driven between the FMTRC facility and the town limits of Cudal on the route prescribed and predetermined by the accompanying drive safety officer.

  • I understand:

National roads and motorists’ association ltd (NRMA) may be conducting photography and/or videography using film, tape, photographs, and recordings for the purposes of promoting and advertising these EV drive days events anywhere in Australia or elsewhere from time to time.

The use of any such material may include publication, editing, reproduction on social media and distribution to various NSW government departments and/or bodies.

The NRMA will not provide payment to any individual for such material and all material becomes the property of the NRMA which it may use without any further reference or notice to any individual.

Any material will and can be used in any way or any medium that NRMA sees fit.
